This just in, ladies and gentlemen while on a tour of Florida, Escuelita's very own Victoria Lace went into a competition. Ladies and gentlemen we are proud to announce from Brooklyn, New York the newly crowned Miss Gay Sunshine States US of A Victoria Lace. Winning this title will now enable Victoria to go on to the national Miss Gay US of A pageant held in Dallas, Texas Memorial Weekend. Victoria has been entertaining for almost 12 years in New York City and abroad, so going to Florida where no one knows of her and winning over the crowd is something special. Escuelita, as well as other clubs, family and friends all will support her in the 8-year quest she has undertaken to become Miss Gay US of A. All the best of luck.-Victoria Lace
Lady Catiria died Sunday, May 2nd 1999. She will be buried in Puerto Rico on Wednesday with services to be held. Lady Catiria is best known for being a cast member of the new Escuelita for the past 2 years as well as performing at the old Escuelita for 10 years. Among the many titles that she holds are Miss Continental & Miss Continental Plus. She is a Legend Among legends and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
